Executive Director: Mrs.Wilma Vanterpool

Mrs. Wilma Vanterpool recently retired from the Anguilla Development Board where she held the positions of Projects Officer and Head of the Small Enterprise Development Unit (SEDU). She has generated a wealth of experience and knowledge working at the ADB and will utilize her skills at the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Her primary focus will be in counseling entrepreneurs with micro, small and medium sized  businesses on their multifaceted challenges,organizing entrepreneurial development programmes, and promoting   management training and consulting to existing and potential businesses and self employed Anguillians.









President: Mr. Keithley F. T. Lake

Mr. Keithley F.T. Lake is the Senior Partner and founding member of Keithley Lake & Associates. Mr. Lake obtained his Juris Doctor Degree with Distinction from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. He worked for the United States Department of Labor as a Staff Attorney and later was employed by Allied-Signal, Inc., where he was promoted to General Counsel and served on the Board of Directors of the Allied Signal, Kansas City Division.

His decision to return to the Caribbean led him to the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica where he obtained his Legal Education Certificate in 1993 after which he returned home to Anguilla where he formed the law Firm of Keithley Lake &Associates

He practices in the areas of  offshore trusts and services, finance and banking, corporate and business formation, real estate and property development issues and government relations. He was called to the Bars in the USA (state of Missouri), and Caribbean region (Anguilla, St. Vincent, St. Kitts and Nevis and the U.S. Virgin Islands).








Vice President: Mr. John Benjamin

Mr John Benjamin is the Founder and Head of Caribbean Juris Chambers, as well as the Managing Director/CEO of Benjamine Company Services Limited and Cube Credit Services Limited. 
He attended Selly Oak Colleges, Birmingham University, England (C.Y.C.W., 1969-1971); Warwick University, Coventry, England (LL.B. Hons., 1977); and Norman Manley Law School, Mona Campus, University of the West Indies, Jamaica (LEC., 1981)
Mr. Benjamin has served in the Caribbean as Crown Counsel, St. Kitts and Nevis, 1981-1983; Acting Magistrate, Anguilla, B.W.I., 1983-1995; Acting Magistrate, St. Kitts/Nevis and Additional Magistrate (Anguilla), 2007 to present. He was appointed Commissioner of Oaths, 1984 and Notary Public, 1986. Mr. Benjamin is also a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Arbitrators and a member of the International Bar Association; Anguilla Bar Association (President, 1986-1990, 2002-2010); Commonwealth Lawyers Association; and International Tax Planning Association.

Benjamin is the Chairman of the Anguillian Tourism Board, President of the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce; a co-founder and Past President of the Anguillian Bar Association; Past President of the Rotary International, Anguilla; Past President and Founder of Anguilla Financial Services; a member of Anguilla Tourist Association; and, is a member of the Board of Caribbean Commercial Bank. As such Benjamin maintains an in depth knowledge of the business community on the island. 
Benjamin is a member of the International Bar Association; Anguilla Bar Association (President, 1986-1990, 2002-); Commonwealth Lawyers Association; International Tax Planning Association.

Benjamin is the producer and host of a weekly national radio program, Talk Your Mind, which covers varying public interest topics and features prominent guests, ranging from government officials, business and civil leaders, and citizen activists.

 

 









Secretary:

Arlene Ross-Daisley is a Trinidadian Lawyer who has been working in Anguilla since 2005. She is an Associate with one of Anguilla’s oldest and leading law firms Webster Dyrud Mitchell. Her practice area is corporate and commercial law and she specializes in Cross Border Transactions, Estate Planning and Wealth Management, Trusts, Sale and Acquisition of Businesses and Assets, Commercial Contracts, Securities, and Real Estate law.

Arlene is a Director of the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce and Industry and an Executive of The Anguilla Financial Services Association.

Arlene holds a BA in English with Upper Second Class Honours from the University of the West Indies, an LLB with Upper Second Class Honours from the University of the West Indies and an LEC from the Hugh Wooding Law School. She has been called to the Bar in Trinidad and Tobago and Anguilla, and appointed Notary Public for Anguilla.

Arlene is very involved in giving back to the community, not only is she involved in financial service legislation drafting, reviewing and amending, she also gives of her time to activities in the Anguilla Optimist Club such as the oratorical competition for school children, and the local leg of the Junior Achievement. Arlene is also the hosts of the radio programme “Youth Entrepreneurship Solutions (Y.E.S)”.








Treasurer:

Mrs. Felicia Hill is a naturalized Anguillian and is the Director of Hillcomspec Consultancy Ltd. Mrs. Hill has achieved her Masters Degree in Business Administration from Durham University, UK and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Andrews University, USA.

The Anguilla Chamber of Commerce has been the vehicle to bridge the gap between business performance and business continuity. Being a Director of the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce has enabled Mrs. Hill to share her experience and skills in the area of Small Business Management and Accounting. Mrs. Hill believes these areas of business are critical for growth and development.

It is her aim that the programmes established by the Chamber will help to foster better business relations among the Small Business Community and to create an environment where Business Owners/Managers are cognoscente of the need to develop the skills needed to plan, manage, account and to integrate global factors in decision making. These tools are critical in creating a sustainable business environment.

In addition to being the Treasurer of the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce, Mrs. Hill also serves as an Executive Director of the North Caribbean Conference of SDA and the Treasurer of Mount Fortune SDA Board.









Supporting Director:

Dr. Bardfield, a US-trained Optometrist, is a highly-respected practitioner and well-know educator. He attended Boston University for his under-graduate training and received both his B.S. (Opt) and his Doctorate (O.D.) degrees from N.E. College of Optometry. He had been a member of the faculty there for over 15 years (1960-1975). He was Clinical Professor of Optometry and also served as Cliical Director of the Contact Lens Department.

Dr. Bardfield, a highly respected Optometrist and well known educator, received his B.S. and O.D. degrees from the New England College of Optometry and has been a practicing optometrist for over 40 years. In 2005, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth awarded Dr. Bardfield and M.B.E (Exalted Order of the British Empire) which was personally presented to Dr. Bardfield at Buckingham Palace by His Royal Highness Prince Charles.

Dr. Bardfield has been an active Board Member of the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce for well over 25 years and has served for several years as its vice President. Dr. Bardfield is and always has been a dynamic force in trying to promote and improve the future growth of the Business Community and has always encouraged the Business Community to become more involved with the Chamber----“United we stand-Divided we fall”, Ask not what the Chamber can do for you----Ask what you can do for the Chamber.






 


 







Supporting Director:

Carlton L. Pickering Snr.- is founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kreative Communications Network and the Executive Producer of KCNTv-4 and KCN Productions. He is an accomplished Photographer/Videographer for almost 31 years. He covers local, regional and international Conferences as a photojournalist and correspondent. He is the former Education Welfare Officer, Department of Education, Government of Anguilla.

Mr. Pickering believes that his purpose is to serve in any area the membership of ACOCI shall so elect and direct, with his professional skills.

His goal is to help ACOCI become an efficient and highly professional Business and Industry organization in Anguilla and the Caribbean.

Achievement for ACOCI: That all present and future Businesses in Anguilla become supportive members. The Business and Industry VOICE in Anguilla, a much more pro active organization in Business and Economic activities in Anguilla, Fully staff and equip to serve the Business Community and Industry in Anguilla.
